Located on the northern coast of the Sicilian island, Terrasini is a town that overlooks the Gulf of Castellammare and is nestled between the sea and the hills. The name Terrasini, in fact, derives from the Latin term “terra sinus”, which translated into Italian means “land of the gulf”. Terrasini is a town that is located between Capo Rama and Capo San Vito and is characterized by an irregular coast made of rocky bays, wild cliffs and golden beaches, which offer breathtaking views.
The city is also home to the beautiful Capo Rama Oriented Nature Reserve, which is located along the migratory routes and allows you to admire rare species of birds. This stretch of coast also features several watchtowers such as Torre Alba, Torre Toleda and Torre di Capo Rama. Torre di Capo Rama, the main one of the towers, was built in the 15th century and is a must-see as it stands on the promontory of the same name overlooking the sea where you can admire a truly breathtaking view.
